Win a Huawei MediaPad with MTN Zambia, but first, get extra mail!

We all like to win and boy, don’t these mobile operators know it! MTN now has a sweepstake competition which requires you to do very little to stand a chance to win a Huawei MediaPad. All you have to do is go to to the link provided here and enter your first and last names and your email address and press enter and a notification will immediately be sent to your email confirming that you have been entered into the competition. My concern about the notification I got after entering the competition was that it told me I had just been added to the MTN Zambia mailing list so basically every time they sent bulk mail I’ll be on it. Such a bummer. All that possible spam. However there is an option to unsubscribe so I’m not worried much.

Then there’s the fact that the competition does not limit itself to only MTN  subscribers as the email addresses can belong to an Airtel or Zamtel subscriber for all I know.  No other information like contact details is required. So how will they filter who’s strictly on the network? Or was this a move to get customers from other networks by keeping them informed via emails of MTN’s products and services and win them over to their platform?

Let’s see the gadget itself, from a  brief review we did in a previous article, the Huawei MediaPad has a a 7inch HD screen, 4G LTE connectivity, a SIM card slot and 1.6 GHz processor. It also has 5MP rear and 1MP front cameras.
