Skype is down worldwide!

You may have failed to access your social messaging appSkype and you’re not alone.  The popular messenger won’t even launch on my PC running Windows 8.1.

Many users are unable to make calls, which is bad for businesses that depend on the app for their business calls. Others can’t update their statuses nor see which friends are online.

Skype says this is due to a problem with their status settings.

Microsoft has promised a “quick fix” so we’re waiting for that. In a statement on the Skype Website, they said “We’re working on a fix for this issue and hope to have an update for you soon. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused while we get this resolved.
