The launch event was graced by Honourable Felix Mutati, the Minister of Technology and Science – as the Guest of Honour – and he spoke about how it was important for businesses to open as many channels as they can to satisfy their clients.

The client can pay for the insurance cover via Airtel Money and MTN MoMo and a prompt is triggered where they can input their pin to process the payment. When one buys motor insurance on this platform, the cover note or motor certificate is sent via WhatsApp and can be printed by the insured provided they have a printer.

Generally WhatsApp chatbots are becoming popular in many industries to use the power of AI to provide a touch point for clients, streamlining the user experience by more personalized service offers and enabling automation of many services that could result in long queues in-store.
