Airtel’s Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Pre-Orders Go Live!
Been holding your breath for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge? Well, hold it in no more because you can place a pre-order on the Airtel Zambia website here.
The Samsung Galaxy S and S6 Edge will be officially launched in Zambia at an event held by Samsung and Airtel at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Lusaka on the 10th of April, 2015, tomorrow, evening that is, and the phones should be in-stores countrywide by next week.
Pricing: The Samsung Galaxy S6 with 32GB capacity is at K6,200 and the S6 Edge is at K7,500 for 32GB. Other outlets who want to offer the same devices will sell them within the same range, something that Samsung has strived to do within the regions they operate in. Price ranges differ slightly, so consumers don’t have to feel like it’s cheaper elsewhere. The benefit of pre-ordering is that you get it a lesser price than you will walking in-store to buy it.
However, the online pre-order form is only giving the 32GB phone for both types, though it comes in 16/32/64GB variants. We’ll see if they have others when in-store next week.
We got to cop a feel of the phone and it’s simply one of those you fall in love with. Is it competition for other brands? Definitely.
Features: Both phones are largely the same, slim, very pretty, lightweight, metallic, except for the S6 Edge’s edges, which are notification screens. The S6 Edge was even awarded the “Best New Handset, Tablet or Device” title at this years’ Mobile World Conference 2015 (MWC2015), so it’s not doing too shabby so far.
