What’s the power of a tweet? In Zambia it  has helped bring down #LintonLies, and has shared people’s thoughts on how Zambia should be run if you follow #ZambiaDecides.

Now, there’s another way folks are making use of the Twitter platform by creating TweepFest, a not-virtual-at-all gathering of some of the most influencial/outspoken Twitter peeps on the Zambian scene. The TweepFest is happening tomorrow 29th October from 12:00hrs at 29 Ngumbo Road in Longacres, Lusaka, and you may get to see your favorite/worst tweep in the flesh.

Just don’t start no (t)wars.

The agenda behind creating TweepFest is not just to see who subbed you but has been made to encourage:

  • Brand awareness if you have a startup or established business
  • positive interactions (no subs, RTs and twars there)
  • team building with other like-minded Zambians, and
  • networking with people you may or may not know on or off Twitter.

Tickets are K100 presale and K150 at the door so get yours for one of the most talked about social-media-to-real-life events. To see who’s going check out the hashtag #TweepFestZM16

Partners of TweepFest 2016 include Ryan Riley, Zamtel, Cherry on top, Edel and Kreative Eye.
