Nokia N1 Released in China; Sold Out 20000 Units In 4 Minutes!

gsmarena_001

Nokia has sold it’s smartphone business to Microsoft so it wasn’t a surprise they went ahead and created a tablet instead, the Nokia N1. It made its first appearance in China and now they are already sold out 20,000 units in 4 minutes, with over 500, 000 people still waiting for their orders!

If that isn’t a sell-out literally, we don’t know what else we can call it. The N1 is being compared with Apple’s iPad Mini. Competition ahead, folks, but it runs on Android and has been given the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.

Other features of the Nokia N1 are its 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, 7.9-inch 2048 x 1536 touchscreen pixel resolution, an 8MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera. It comes with Intel’s Atom Z3580 SoC, and being served by a 2.3 GHz quad-core CPU. Battery life should be about 4- 5 hours with its 5,300 mAh battery with continued use.

Nokia has really made a dent in the wall with their N1 and maybe the competition will pay attention. Nokia is alive and well, and selling out fast! We hope they have more tablets in stock though, because it seem the world is excited about this gadget.

It was expected to roll out at a price of $239 but is actually between $250 – 257 (ZMW 1625 – 1670) right now in China.

There has been no mention yet of the next country it will roll out to but hopefully you can buy it through a friend or relative who is in China right now as the next batch of N1s will be available after January 15.
