“As Nelson Mandela was once said: ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. Over the years we have worked closely with the Ministry of Education in adopting Schools countrywide and complementing Government’s efforts in improving the learning-teaching environment in Zambia. Today is one of those days we happily hand over a refurbished 1 x 8 classroom block valued at K332,000 to the Siasikabole community as we continue taking pride in the education of children whom we consider as the future of our country.”
Receiving the classroom block, Siasikabole School Headmistress Mrs. Syamujaye thanked Airtel for the gesture and continued commitment to changing the lives of people through their various Corporate Social Responsibility programmes.
“Siasikabole has been facing a lot of challenges with regards classroom space especially now that we have over 800 pupils. Since its establishmnet in 1932, Siasikabole School has never received any renovations but today I am excited to be the headmistress when Airtel has come to our rescue by refurbishing the classrooms where our pupils can now learn in a conducive environment.” Mrs Syamujaye said.
