Zamtel has released a statement through its Acting Corporate Affairs Manager, Ndela Sichizya, on the installation of its online charging system:
We wish to inform the public that the installation works of a modern Online Charging System that we reported earlier, have been completed.
With this completion, we can now assure the Zamtel customers of much improved voice and data service experience and an easier subscriber management service.
The works were completed on 22nd December 2021. We continued to monitor the performance of the newly installed system throughout the months of January and February and are now confident that we have achieved a consistent stability on the network.
Our Customers will recall that we committed to completing the installation works and endeavored to keep them constantly updated.
We were also aware that some of our customers experienced difficulty connecting to the network. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this is could have caused.
Our commitment is to ensure we minimize the level of service disruptions in future while striving to deliver a better service all the time.
