Mvesesani is here to make Zambian music thrive online

Mvesesani is a technology company with the goal of building digital infrastructure which will allow the music industry to grow and thrive in Zambia.

Co-founders Jeremy Chibuye and Twaambo Haamucenje believe that the availability of an online sales platform for the first time in the country will give artists the opportunity to make their music available for purchase allowing fans to directly support their favourite artists. Through that support, artists will begin to receive revenue that they have been lacking for a long time.

“Our aim is to be the authoritative platform when it comes to Zambian music. With that in mind, we have endeavored to find music from the 1960‘s to present spanning all the genres in the country. As the site grows and evolves over time, more music will be added to the platform.”
From the 27th of February 2017 to the 5th of March 2017 Mvesesani will be holding a week long on-line celebration of the first seven albums from the legendary record label Slingbeats founded by Chali Bravo” Mulalami.
These albums will make their debut in the Mvesesani store and will include the first album from K’Millian which included hits like Ule Ibukisha, Ichitemwiko and more, Namanje with tracks like Ika Spaka, Paka Infa and more, Ty2 with chart topping tracks like Smile,Bwela Pafupi, CQ with singles that made waves including Tiza Kondana, Waziba, The late Crystal Shawn with hits like Kasuba’, ‘Tawakasange Umbi, Kanji with soulful tracks which included Chi Daddy and Mr Big Star’ and finally Ozzy aka The General featuring hits like Osalila, Chino chalo’, Wenye& Makin Me High.
