Press Release: Huawei expands to Kitwe and Mufulira

Huawei Technologies Zambia will continue its roll-out of stores countrywide in response to consumer demand for affordable and accessible technology. The opening if stores will also counter the challenges faces by consumers when they purchase products without back and warranty from sellers.

And the company has opened its first Experience Store in Kitwe and another in Mufulira that showcases a wide range of Huawei gadgets and offering technical support to its customers.

The new experience store covers a total area of approximately 54 square metres to cater to residents of Kitwe and surrounding areas.

According to Huawei Country Device Manager, Li Mao: “There is need for the consumers to be able to experience a full range of what Huawei has to offer. Huawei experience stores are the only stores that consumers can find Huawei’s full range of smartphones, tablets, and genuine accessories, including Huawei exclusives you won’t find anywhere else. Plus you’ll get expert help from our experienced staff who know our products best.”

“We have expansion plans in place to open additional stores in other parts of Zambia in the very near future. The launch of our new store in Kitwe is part of our planned opening of more stores countrywide,” he said.

While acknowledging the fact that Zambia has great potential and is a key market for Huawei, Li Mao added that: “Launching a local store is a key element to cater to the growing demand from our customers and further establishes our brand in the country.”

The opening of Huawei’s two stores in Kitwe and Mufulira comes a few weeks before the anticipated launch of this year’s flagship Mate 8 smartphone in Zambia.
