Apple launches iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max

Apple just unveiled their latest devices, the iPhone Xr, iPhone Xs, and the iPhone Xs Max. There’s no way you missed it as social media came alive during the Apple Event to give their mini tech reviews of the new shiny gadgets.

The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are upgrades of their premium range iPhone X  that was launched last year while the iPhone XR is a cheaper device with an LCD screen.

The iPhone XS comes with a the same 5.8-inch OLED display we saw in the X model introduced last year and at the same price too. The frame is stainless steel and has a scratch-resistant glass on both the front and back faces. In the XS Max, you’ll find the same stainless steel frame and glass faces, but has a bigger 6.5-inch OLED screen, the biggest Apple has released yet. The XS Max also has Apple’s largest battery capacity so far.

The iPhone XR has an aluminium frame instead, with a 6.1-inch LCD screen and one back camera, similar range to the iPhone 8.

You won’t see fingerprint sensors anymore on these devicesas Apple wants to get more users of the it’s Face ID features. The home buttom has also been removed to make way for on-screen navigation buttons.

The A12 Bionic processor has also been introduced in new X range, with a hexa-core application processor with quad-core graphics processor and a new octa-core neural processor. The processor is made on 7nm production technology.

The iPhone XS and XS Max will start shipping on 21st September while the XR will start on 26th October 2017.
