Celebrating #GirlsInICT: Debra Choobwe

My name is Debra Choobwe, a trainer at Hackers Guild. My role as a trainer involves teaching high school pupils (mostly girls) around the country how they can combine their creativity with Technology.

Technology is the future and it would be unfortunate if girls were on the wrong side of it. Whatever your passion is, whatever your dreams are, technology will play a vital part in their fruition.

So I encourage every girl to fuse ICT/Technology into their academic plans, keeping in mind that it’s never too early to plan. Zambia should encourage girls to dream bigger, encourage them to chase their dreams and to not limit their visions. There’s no such thing as a man’s field and every girl should know that. It starts with you, encourage a girl today, play your part and watch girls soar!
