“We are pleased to welcome PrimeNet as a TCIB Integrator. By working closely together and leveraging their knowledge and expertise in payments technology and innovation, we believe this collaboration will only further our efforts for advancing cross-border payments from the TCIB Payments Platform,” says Odette Smit, Product Manager of TCIB at BankservAfrica.

“We are ecstatic about this achievement and it reaffirms PrimeNet’s mission to democratising digital transformation. With TCIB, we can extend regional payment rails to underserved digital channels, enabling real-time, affordable cross-border payments for ecosystem players such as mobile wallets and banks in Zambia and the entire SADC region. This marks a significant milestone for us, especially hot on the heels of our PSP license grant in 2022” says Chalemela Sakala, Chief Operating Officer at PrimeNet Solutions.”

Launched in 2016, PrimeNet has built several market innovations, such as enterprise billing systems for water utilities. In 2020, PrimeNet began its payments journey. By 2021, its Payment Gateway ‘PrimePay’ was successfully integrated by leading Mobile Network Operators wallets. The company is currently on a mission of expanding its footprint across Central and Southern Africa in 2024.
