MultiChoice Zambia has launched Parliament TV on Dstv and Gotv

As part of MultiChoice Zambia’s ongoing efforts to enhance its customers’ television viewing experience and offer content that resonates with them, the business is proud to announce the launch of Parliament TV on DStv and GOtv in Zambia.

MultiChoice Zambia Chief Customer Officer, Leah Kooma, said that as a business rooted in the communities where it operates, MultiChoice remains firmly committed to ensuring its services cater for the needs of its customers by not only providing the best local content but content that resonates with its customers.

We are confident that by launching this channel Zambians will be better informed about local political matters and have full access to debates and other activities that are on-going in parliament. Commenting on the launch of the channel, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Honourable Dr Patrick Matibini SC, said that the government was pleased by this timely partnership with MultiChoice Zambia and that the channel is a great milestone in the Zambian democratic landscape and in bridging the gap between Parliament and the citizens. This step is also towards the actualisation of the vision of the National Assembly of Zambia which is “to be a model legislature for democracy and good governance”.

The channel, which is being launched through a collaboration between National Assembly and MultiChoice Zambia, will be open from Monday to Friday when the House is in sitting and when it is on recess. It will be available on DStv Channel 272 and GOtv Channel 100.  It will broadcast, amongst other content, live plenary sessions of the National Assembly as well as educate and inform the Zambian people on the decisions being made in parliament.
