MTN Zambia Introduces eSIM Service On Network

Exciting news for MTN Zambia users! The telecommunications giant has just introduced its eSIM service – according to a post on their page – enhancing connectivity and convenience for subscribers across the nation. The eSIM, or embedded SIM, is a cutting-edge technology that replaces the traditional physical SIM card, streamlining the activation of cellular plans.

An eSIM is a standardized digital SIM that enables you to initiate a cellular plan from your carrier without the need for a physical SIM card.

With MTN Zambia’s eSIM service, users can now easily activate their cellular plans directly on their devices, eliminating the need for a physical SIM card. This innovation marks a significant step forward in simplifying the user experience, making it more efficient and user-friendly.

One of the standout features of this service is the ability to install multiple eSIMs on a single device. This means users can manage and switch between different cellular plans seamlessly, providing flexibility and convenience like never before. Imagine having two phone numbers on your device, all without the hassle of swapping SIM cards.

To access the service, first check that your phone has the capability by dialing*#06# and looking for the EID number to check if your device is eSIM enabled.y.

MTN Zambia is the second mobile network provider to launch eSIM after Airtel Zambia launched the service in June 2023. We now await Zamtel.
