The annual and 8th Samsung Africa Forum will be held tomorrow 23rd February 2017 up until the 25th in Cape Town, South Africa, and is meant to showcase to media and partners/distributors the latest technological innovations that Samsung has planned and developed for Africa.
In a statement, Sthe Shabangu, Lead – Public Relations, Public Affairs and Corporate Citizenship at Regional Headquarters said
“Samsung’s goal is to inspire the world and create the future with innovative technology and creativity, thanks to a deep understanding of what people really need and want. The Forum will help us to achieve our goal of enriching our customer’s lives, while contributing to socio-economic prosperity across Africa and supporting a sustainable environment for us all.”
Africa is one of Samsung’s biggest markets and this the need for a big event that showcases plans for the coming year as well as recap on the previous one. The theme for this year’s Forum is ‘One Pride’, emulating how the Lion is the king of the jungle but works with its pride to better the whole group. In the same way, Samsung wants to work with partners to better their product offerings for the continent. Shabangu added:
“Samsung Electronics values building strong relationships with our customers, partners and stakeholders, in order to further grow the brand in this unique and exciting consumer landscape. The 8th annual Samsung Africa Forum affords us the opportunity to share our vision, commitment and world-class innovations in technology and design with our partners across the region. More crucially, it allows us to demonstrate that together, we can move forward with pride, passion and profitability.”
Media, partners and distributors have flown in from all over Africa and even some from the Samsung headquarters, to meet at the Cape Town International Conference Centre for this annual event.
