Windows 10 Being Tested by 450,000 People Per Day

windows10

Microsoft’s beta release Windows 10 now has reached a point where on average 450,000 people are testing it everyday.  There are over 1.5 million registered users, but of these 450, 000 are the ones considered highly active users of Windows 10.

Explaining why they haven’t fully rolled it out yet, Microsoft says it is working hard to come up with a product full of features that bring greater user experience.

In a blog post on their site, Microsoft stated, We’ve been very hard at work putting together a great build for you that includes a bunch of new features and improvements. As all of those payloads came in we needed to stabilize code, fix any integration issues, and ensure all of the new UX is polished. We’re really focused on making the next build something that we hope you’ll think is awesome. In fact, just so that we have a *daily* reminder to ourselves that we want this build to be great, we even named our build branch FBL_AWESOME. Yeah, it’s a bit corny, but trust me that every Dev that checks in their code and sees that branch name gets an immediate reminder of our goal. We’re super excited to show you what we’ve been up to! Look for a follow-up blog post from us on where to tune-in to the live webcast on January 21st.”

So January 21st it is folks! We can’t wait to see what they have up their tech sleeve. However, it will be a better build that may be released, with bug fixes, and not the full operating system.

The interaction of users with the Windows 10 preview build has been more than what was achieved with previous Windows beta or preview versions.

IF this interaction means that testers actually like Windows 10 so far, we may expect the full OS to be better than the previous Windows 8 and 8.1 versions (yes they skipped Windows 9 when naming 10).

So many bugs have been reported on the Windows 10 build (or 9897 build), so we hope Microsoft is taking note of each and every single one to fix their next build release, and can the OS leaks please come to an end for Chrissakes!
