48MP? Yeah you read right! The Redmi Note 7 by Xiaomi was launched as the first smartphone under its newly independent Redmi brand.
The Redmi Note 7 is 6.3″ and comes at a cost starting from about K1800. It cones with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a rear-facing dual camera system, one with a 48-megapixel image sensor and an f/1.8 lens and another with 5 megapixels for depth information. The front camera is 13-megapixels.
The Redmi Note 7 will be sold first in China from 15 January at a price of K1800 for the 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage and about K2500 for the 6GB/64GB model.
Xiaomi had spoken about Redmi’s brand independence saying it will “make smartphones that offer extreme value for money” and “accelerate Xiaomi’s global expansion”.
