Instagram now has over 500 million users!

Instagram has reached over 500 million users and shared this post with the world:

The app has seen growth in its almost 6 years, having been founded in 2010 by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger and then later sold to Facebook for $1billion in 2012. The photo and video sharing app has connected millions, quite literally, across the world, letting people catch up on what’s trending, and going back in time to see their older photos as memories, and finding inspiration for fashion and life in general.

They reached the 300 million user mark in December 2014 and 400 million users in September 2015.
