DStv introduces Bang Bang Heroes pop-up channel

After the previous M-Net Movies Marvel Studios Pop-Up Channel, Dstv has added an Mnet Movies Bang Bang Heroes channel that will be available to DStv Premium, Compact Plus and Compact customers.

It will run for 24 days from Friday 18 May to Sunday 10 June, and will show over 90 movies form the world’s biggest blockbuster stars like Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Bruce Willis and Chuck Norris.

Viewers will see 8 movies per day, but each of the actors above will get their very own feature during prime time on one day of the Bang Bang Heroes channel’s duration:

18 May: Sylvester Stallone – Get Carter, Cobra and Over The Top. Saturday,
19 May: Jason Statham – The Transporter, The Mechanic Resurrection and Parker and on Sunday,
20 May: Jet Li – The One, Romeo Must Die, and Dragon Fight.
25 May: Bruce Willis – the Die-Hard franchise.
26 May: Dolph Lundgren – Masters of The Universe, Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning and Skin Trade.
2nd June: Jean-Claude Van Damme –Streetfighter, Shepherd, and The Sudden Death.

The channel will play all three “Expendables” films on Sunday, 10 June beginning with The Expendables at 16:30CAT, followed by The Expendables 2 at 18:15CAT ending with The Expendables 3 at 20:00CAT.
